JOB DUTIESRESPONSIBILITIES
Candidate will be primarily responsible for developing 3D models of shipshore systems for the Naval Tactical Command Support System NTCSS program. Related duties will include modeling fabrication cabling electromechanical equipment and design concepts. Candidate will also work with vendors to validate products manufactured from drawings.
WORK SCHEDULE
Candidate will be working a normal schedule but must be available for and willing to work extended hours on an occasional basis.
Qualifications
EDUCATIONEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Associate's degree from an accredited institution in drafting illustration or a related field and two 2 years of experience draftingillustrating in the electronics field to include computerized drafting applications digital imaging techniques use of AutoCAD SolidWorks or other major CAD platform planning and preparing graphic presentations of complex items is required. A valid High School Diploma or GED and five 5 years of identical experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree requirement.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Candidate must be familiar with DoD processes and procedures as well as proficient in AutoCAD in order to design complex drawings and mathematical calculations. Candidate must be able to perform multiple tasks in a fluid and dynamic environment. Must also possess acute attention to detail have the ability to work quickly and accurately be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing be able to work with team members to accomplish team objectives on schedule and in a deadlinedriven environment. Professional Proficiency with Microsoft Office products especially Word PowerPoint Excel and Outlook is also required.
DESIRED SKILLS
Drafting experience in the electronics field and familiarity with DoD processes and procedures is highly preferred. Drafting experience using ASME standards Technical Data Packages and militaryspecific drawing standards. Comprehensive knowledge of the technical field and the ability to routinely complete complex assignments is also preferred.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT
An active transferable DoD Secret or higher clearance is required. Candidate selected will be subject to a Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to maintain access to classified information andor facilities.
