Interior Designer

Minimum Requirements
• Degree in Architecture from an International reputable university.
• 1012 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrable experience in architectural interior design of multiuse projects including signature structures and urban design of large scale developments.
• Competencies – adapting and responding to change relating and networking team work planning and organizing.
• Experience of having worked in reputable architectural firms.
• Design Skills – strong design skills graphic capabilities ability to work with designbased software such as Photoshop CAD sketchup 3D max revit etc.

Duties
• Plan design and furnish interiors of residential commercial or industrial buildings. Formulate design which is practical aesthetic and conducive to intended purposes such as raising productivity selling merchandise or improving life style. May specialize in a particular field style or phase or interior design.
• Capable of reviewing interior design package including detailed drawings perspectives material boards specifications and schedules for all interior design elements including millwork FFampE items graphics signage and artwork etc.
• Good experience in finishes and specifications of materials and FFampE items as well as specifications for custom manufactured items.
• The Interior Designer will ensure that all interiors are fully coordinated with the different MEP services and structural plans provided by the Design Consultant.
• Good knowledge of service requirements lighting and signage way of finding.
• Estimate material requirements and costs and present design to client for approval.
• Good experience in material selection and performance good knowledge of sustainable design requirements.
• Confer with client to determine factors affecting planning interior environments such as budget architectural preferences and purpose and function.
• Advise client on interior design factors such as space planning layout and utilization of furnishings and equipment and color coordination.
• Select or design and purchase furnishings art works and accessories.
• Formulate environmental plan to be practical esthetic and conducive to intended purposes.
• Good knowledge of fabrication installation and arrangement of carpeting fixtures accessories draperies paint and wall coverings art work furniture and related items.
• Admin. Management – project related management and discipline related department management including proposal writing reporting financial management.
