The Role
The Role Key Responsibilities

. Planning Designing and supervising different types of structures such as buildings roads power plants towers and Repair and Routine Maintenance of civil works for all Omantel premises in different Governorates and Regions.
. Provide survey reports drawings blueprints data to plan projects.
. Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and sanitation standards.
. Supervise construction operations and maintenance activities at project sites.
. Estimate quantities and cost of materials equipment or labour to determine project feasibility.
. Knowledge of materials methods and tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings or accesses roads.
. Assess the requirements of a project break the project into tasks and work with the department Manager to determine scope of work and budget.
. Support and prepare engineering studies schematic design and final design of various projects including plans specifications and estimates.
. Lead assign and review work of project design team. Check progress of work and identify changes of scope or additional services required.
. Coordinate all aspects of project documentation within company and external agencies.
. Resolve design issues with designers contractors and other agencies.
. Ability to develop and maintain close working relationships with other units and suppliers.
. Lead and mentor junior engineers as well as manage budget time work products and other resources.
. Produce statements of quantities and prepare budget assessment for projects.
. Participating in preparing tender documents and evaluation of bid process.
. Assist the other Engineers when help is needed
. Assign the construction and maintenance works to the group and to provide direction for the adherence of policies and procedures
. Prepare annual plans and budgets and to ensure group operates within the approved plans and budgets
. Motivate and develop the skills of reporting staff to make them capable to meet the duties and responsibilities.
. Design the reinforced concrete and steel structures to secure the structural stability and safeguard the telecom installations
. Develop the technical skills and maintain the up to date knowledge on the construction Egg. field and advise on the technical matters for the better off.
. Creating requisitions making correspondences and processing payments to suppliers and vendors.
. Preparation of scope of works cost estimation for all related projects and building maintenance civil works activities of company’s premises.
. Conduct Value engineering Quantity surveying
. Monitor security safety of the premises. Conducting acceptance tests and preparing the Completion report and certificates
. Perform all other related tasks that will help to complete the project and maintenance works Requirements
Requirements Education Requirements

Bachelor Degree in CivilConstruction Engineering from an accredited college or university.

Technical Skills

. Working knowledge and experience in Civil work projects and maintenance
. Working knowledge of designing and computer aided drafting systems.
. Ability to read interpret and produce maps surveys engineering drawings and graphics from engineering software ability to use CAD spread sheet pavement management GIS.

Specific experience

. Minimum 4 5 year experience in Civil work Planning design and execution of projects and maintenance works. About the Company
