The Role
The Role A privately owned Middle East media company is seeking a highly dynamic Senior Web DesignerDeveloper.
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
⢠Manage the Web team 1 developer 1 administrator in order to develop websites for the company
⢠The Web DeveloperDesigner is responsible for the development and design of major and minor Web applications and components for internal and external Insurance system users.
⢠The developer will design develop test and deliver web sites applications and components. Enhancements and defect resolution will be required on an ongoing basis.
⢠Best practices and design methods will be utilized to insure the success of the projects.
⢠The developer will have the ability to create web applications and components from the requirements stage through design through production deployment. They will be required to have experience in graphics layout scripting programming as well as development involving compatibility and seamless integration with various technologies such as but not limited to assists in project planning and Web site design.
⢠Creates prototypes and functional specifications for software projects.
⢠Determines new Web technologies to utilize such as browsers languages and plugins based on companyâs needs.
⢠Conceptualizes longterm needs of Web development and plans and manages related projects.
⢠Makes suggestions on creating Webbased technical standards for specific Web sites and the company as a whole.
⢠Knowledge of major content management systems with thorough understanding and experience with WordPress.
⢠Understanding of HTML HTML 5 XHTML PHP Flash XML MySQL Web Services JavaScript and CSS with ability to rapidly learn and master diverse web technologies and techniques
⢠Expertise in Drupal Joomla are mandatory
⢠Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite Photoshop and Illustrator or GIMP
⢠Knowledge of Google Analytics Adsense and other web statistics tools
⢠A combination of excellent problem solving communication and interpersonal skills
⢠Ability to work and thrive in a fastpaced multitasking environment
⢠Technical support and troubleshooting skills
⢠Superb literacy and mastery of written English language. Dari FARSI or Arabic is a plus. Requirements
Requirements ⢠Experience and a proven track record of working alone on project work and delivering from start to end.
⢠3 years of experience using PHP JavaScript XML and HTML5 SQL
⢠Experience with implementing common Object Oriented patterns in PHP 5 a plus
⢠3 years of Object Oriented Development experience
⢠Strong skills and experience in writing SQL queries
⢠Experience into designing HTML Newsletter
⢠Drupal and Joomla experience are required
⢠2 years in SEO optimization are mandatory
⢠Master adobe creative suite is mandatory
⢠CanDoâ attitude and willing to take on challenging projects over and above basic developer functions
