Scope of work

TGP is looking for a well seasoned professional who has previous experience managing and developing a joinery production workshop. TGP’s production workshop is 50000ft and facilitates 80 employees at present.

This manpower count is expected to grow however to over 100 employees in the coming year. This role will lead the planning preparation and joinery production requirements for TGP’s exhibition stand production.

Reporting to the COO the main responsibilities of the Workshop Director will be to

•Analyze the workshop’s current procedures and activities to identify and present opportunities for improvement of the workshop
•Develop an operating plan for the production department
•Restructure production department to ensure optimum work flow structure is in place
•Streamline coordinate and control all workshop processes to ensure maximum output minimum expense
•Supervise all middle level management to ensure smooth and structured operation of the workshop
•Manage departmental budget and financial planning for production department
•Monitoring product standard and implement qualitycontrol programmes
•Working with managers to implement the company's policies and goals
•Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed
•Supervising and motivate a team of workers
Minimum Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have
•A minimum of ten years’ experience in a similar role and a proven track record of successfully running joinery workshops ideally within the exhibitions’ industry
•Relevant engineering degree with minimum of 10 years of experience in joinery production
•The ability to structure organize and improve the efficiency of a production facility.
•In depth knowledge of all aspects of modern joinery manufacturing
•Proven leadership skills

•Excellent communication and negotiation skills
•Excellent planning and problem solving skills
