AECOM seek a Relationship Officer to be based in Qatar. This role will report to the Senior Resident Engineer and will be responsible for undertaking duties as assigned by the Senior Resident Engineer. The successful candidate will provide continued response to inquiries by public and comments on a Major Highways Project comprising the works through completion of the Project and will support the business in developing a plan to inform the public of benefits objectives costs schedule impacts and progress of the individual Project comprising the works throughout all of their phases from planning through to construction and handover.
A minimum of a degree with a major in communications public relations or marketing and at least 3 years of relevant experience and working knowledge of Qatar Media Journalism advertisement environments and public works industry is essential.
Experience in Qatar region regulatory market dealing with journalists advertisements authorities including public relations offices and media newspaperRadioTV and internet would also be ideal.
Key duties include
- Overseeing all public relations activities
- Collectingsortingorganising the information interested to Public from stockholders internally and externally
- Coordinating with Other communications managers in other contracts
- Overseeing updates and ongoing enhancement to PMC and PWA Internet website.
- In coordination with PMC and PWA developing managing and maintaining all online communication vehicles including but not limited to the website emails and online social media in marketing the Projects and plans
- In coordination with PMC and PWA planning and managing external communication efforts including but not limited to publicity for events program launches breaking news
- Managing media including press releases media advisories and announcements in relation to Project RunningProposed and future projects and plans in coordination with PMC and PWA
- Developing creative content includes digital and interactive content.
- Maintaining a high standard of quality and visual consistency in printed and electronic materials related to the Project.
- In coordination with PMC and PWA marketingcommunications initiatives
- Producing printed and online communication material used in internal and external marketingcommunications initiatives
- Developing managing and executing a monthly strategic marketing and communications plan
- In coordination with PMC and PWA developing managing and producing materials to create a cohesive image and message for print to the following Newsletter brochures and information kits annual Monthly report events invitations postcards etc. press kits and media ads print and radio.
- Overseeing design and printing.
- Ensuring that all materials are developed and distributed according to an appropriate timeline.

- Demonstrated success in a marketing or marketing communications role
- Good culturally appropriate Verbal and written communications skills literacy ability both in Arabic and English.
- Good presentation skills required.
- Strong editing and proofreading skills
- High level of critical and strategic thinking with an analytical approach to challenges and opportunities.
- Exceptional skills with Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of Adobe and Photoshop
- Ability to develop positive working relations with peers client and other media centers
- Excellent report writing and reporting skills
- Valid Qatar driving license
