Qualifications A relevant degree Journalism Public Relations Communications equivalent qualification or high levels of proven relevant experience. Essential Criteria At least five years’ experience in a communications focused role experience in built environment sector desirable Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English language competence in Arabic desirable and the ability to create a strong internal and external network Appropriate IT skills Microsoft Office Outlook and knowledge of the online and Social Media environments. Experience in prioritising a varied and busy workload with own initiative at all times Responsibilities Conceiving and delivering panregional media relations activities to develop Atkins’ reputation as a sector leader in Qatar Creating strong profile for the incountry leadership team and technical expert Maintaining speaker and event participation in line with strategic priorities Managing senior stakeholder engagement programme Leading incountry internal communications activities including ownership of the Qatar SharePoint site which will be the future vehicle for sharing technical and business information Regularly contributing to regional and Groupwide internal communication channels such as writing articles for the intranet and internal newsletters Supporting worldwide initiatives and internal campaigns led by Group Communications team Developing and managing internal and external events while shaping content in line with objectives Supporting Group’s digital communications strategy by providing regular content and driving participation of local digital ambassador Supporting the collation and maintenance of strong and consistent bid support material to support top quality proposals Working with graphic design team to support delivery of excellent branded marketing materials including collateral advertising and merchandise Developing and maintaining strong imagery to showcase people projects and technical expert Supporting crisis and issues management preparedness The Individual Self starter willing to take initiative and work both individually and in groups Highly credible with confidence and poise to engage with employees at all levels Flexible to deal with changing priorities and tasks Discretion due to exposure to confidential information Strong organisational skills Training Atkins develops individuals through a portfolio of training and development activities designed to help you make the best of your abilities and talents.
